ROTARY AND UKRAINE

The war in Ukraine is having devastating consequences on civilians as families flee their homes. According to the United Nations, more than 3.5 million people, most of them women and children, have sought refuge in neighboring countries and across Europe, while about 7 million more people have been displaced within Ukraine.
Rotary and Rotaract clubs in Europe and around the world have taken swift action and are working with members nearby to provide food, water, medical equipment, and shelter for refugees.
The Rotary Foundation created a funding channel for relief efforts in Ukraine.

Letter From President Mike Jan 2022

    Dear Sunsetters,

First of all, let me wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas.
Our Club is at the halfway point of the Rotary Year! But before I review our Club’s activities, let me remind you about our Tuesday night meeting via Zoom, to be immediately followed by a Board Meeting. In this past Rotary Year, our Club organized notable events and projects. We returned to live meetings once per month to supplement our Zoom meetings.

The Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) is in constant need of blankets, towels, sheets and pet food.  If anyone has any of the above that they would like to donate, please bring them to a club meeting and Kirsten will get them to PACC.  This is a great opportunity to clean out your closets and help a worthy cause in the process!

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Tucson Sunset

The Rotary Club of Tucson Sunset was founded under the principle of Rotary International - "Service Above Self." It has evolved in 25 years as a club devoted to community service, family and friendship.

An intimate group of diverse members, we meet every Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:30 P.M. at Sabbar Shrine, on the west side of Tucson Blvd. 1/2 mile south of Broadway Blvd. Our meetings are spirited and informative with guest speakers addressing us on a variety of tantalizing subjects.

While our club is a small piece of a very large international organization, the impact that we have in our own community is great.

For those who are members, be proud, be active and be a participant. For those considering joining us, we invite you to become a part of Tucson's most enthusiastic and dynamic Rotary Club.
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Tucson Sunset 0
